Born in Detroit and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Jessica moved to California in 2002 to pursue higher education. She earned both her undergraduate and MBA degrees from California State University, Fullerton.

Throughout her childhood, Jessica engaged in a variety of activities, including ballet, gymnastics, basketball, softball, cross country, and playing the clarinet in the band and marching band. As an adult, she maintained her love for running, completing multiple half marathons and one full marathon. Her passion for staying active continues today, largely thanks to her two daughters.

Currently, she resides in Long Beach with her husband, Garland, their daughters Devyn (11) and Edyn (8). Their home is always buzzing with energy, and they are grateful for the support of their extended family and friends.

This year marks Jessica’s 21st year at SchoolsFirst FCU. Over the past two decades, she has served in various roles, and she is now honored to serve as the SVP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. In this role, she champions DEI strategies and programs that support their Members, the team and align with the organization's mission and values.
